Privacy Policy for Daily Science Experiment

Effective Date: November 9, 2025

1. Introduction
Daily Science Experiment (“the App”) is an educational mobile application designed to teach science through safe, at-home experiments. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we (do not) collect, how it is used, and your rights.

2. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collectstore, or share any personal data.
We do not collect:
  • Name, email address, or contact information
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics
  • Device identifiers
  • Advertising data
All activity data (such as notes, completed experiments, and favorites) are stored only on your device and can be deleted by you at any time.

3. Local Data Storage
Any data you create in the app (e.g., saved notes, favorites, or progress) is stored locally using Android’s secure storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences or local database).
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

4. Permissions
Daily Science Experiment uses minimal or no permissions.
  • INTERNET (optional): Only required if you open external links (like Help or Privacy Policy).
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (optional, Android 12 and below): Used only when you choose to export or share notes or experiment summaries as text/PDF.
No permission is used automatically — all are optional and user-triggered.

5. Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for users of all ages, including children, but all experiments are designed with adult supervision recommended.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared information with us, please contact us to delete it immediately.

6. Advertising and Analytics
This app does not include:
  • Third-party ads
  • Analytics or tracking SDKs
  • Behavioral advertising
  • Social media integrations
We prioritize your safety and privacy by design.

7. Third-Party Links
If the app ever links to external educational resources or references, those links open in your device’s browser.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites — please review their privacy policies separately.

8. Data Security
All data remains stored locally on your device.
We use Android’s system-level security to protect data from unauthorized access.
Deleting or uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

9. Your Rights
Because no personal data is collected, there is no data to access, modify, or delete from our servers.
You can clear all app data manually through your Android settings at any time.

10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The updated version will include a new effective date and be available both in-app and on our Play Store page.
